After much anticipation, Galoo Team has officially launched its website and the virtual shopping arena is already stirring up quite the buzz.
Galoo brings buyers and sellers of products and services together, locally and across the globe. The patent pending concept of “reverse buying” by beating the advertised price revolutionizes e-commerce and trade by facilitating transactions for both buyers and sellers. How does this new e-commerce concept work?
Upon entering Galoo you just name the product or service that you need to buy, check the prices through our price-checking mechanism and request to beat the price by making an offer. Then you let Galoo distribute your offer to all the registered sellers whether locally, internationally or both. You can then accept the offer of the first seller that responds to your offer if you wish to do so. Or you can negotiate the price with the seller, saving yourself from the embarrassment you otherwise feel when negotiating a price in a conventional shop or service location.
“As just recently reported in a major newspaper, research by an online shopping company shows that three quarters of us are too shy to haggle for a better price in the UK alone; Galoo takes that shyness away. All transactions are discreet and the price is only known between the buyer and seller which protects pricing for the seller as well. In the end, we take uncertainty and hesitation out of the equation. This is bargain hunting and selling at its finest,” says co-founder Manos Ioannidis.
“For instance, let’s say that you look for teeth whitening and you’re willing to pay 100 euro. Galoo sends an email with your offer to all registered Galoo dentists in the vicinity you request. Once you get a positive response from a dentist, you enter the virtual deal room, finalize with the medical professional and just let yourself enjoy the service you want at the price you are willing to pay. Of course this can apply to any service like car repair, hotels, restaurants, cruises, beauty salons, transportation, and of course all the products and services that you can imagine. ”
The seller registering at Galoo can immediately increase the sales volume, by accessing a much wider clientele without additional marketing or outside salespeople. Galoo literally brings the buyer to your virtual doorstep. Therefore, the seller can actually sell a product in a lower than the permitted advertising price, or can eliminate a preordered stock surplus. Service providers can fill an empty opening or seat by accepting a lower price from the buyer. The important thing about Galoo for the sellers is that only the seller and the buyer actually know at what price a product or a service was finally purchased from that specific seller.
Galoo savings calculator has also a philanthropic twist about it. It calculates your savings and gives you the chance to donate some of the money you saved, directly to the registered charity organization of your preference. Galoo’s co-founder Alison Andrews is very familiar with the need of social responsibility and giving to charities due to her mother’s HRH Crown Princess Catherine committed work at her charity, Lifeline aid. “I believe the charity aspect is important as my grandmother and my mother used to instill in me that: God gave me two hands, one to help myself and one to help others,” says Alison Andrews.
The site is being promoted initially in UK, Albania, Bulgaria, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia, Cyprus, Greece, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia and Turkey, in 12 languages but shortly it will expand elsewhere in Europe, United States and then the rest of the world, so that everyone can profit with Galoo in an easy, safe, user-friendly and fun environment.
